“April showers bring May flowers.”
Showers came in the colors of white/snow and green/cash during the Xtreme Barrel
Race produced by Horse Events Inc. and held at the beautiful fully covered
Blackhawk Arena in Salina Utah.
Checks totaling over $85,000 were
handed out over the three day event held April 8-10th.
Xtreme Awards with the grand prize being an Xtreme Vacation to the 2011
Breeders’ Cup. Two custom handmade
Burns Saddlery Saddles were awarded as well as Lucchese boots, Serrattali hats,
Classic Equine products and much, much, more.
Top money and price winners were.
Breeders Cup Vacation
went to Deb Wilkins of Jensen Utah.
Open Saddle as well
as a Bike went to 10 and under champion Maykala Brown
from Moroni, Utah.
18/40 Saddle was
awarded to Carla Probst from Grantsville Utah.

New for 2011 HEI adopted the Burns
Saddlery Xtreme Forecast.
Contestants forecasted their Sunday runs on Saturday at Burns Saddlery, Sunday
if they hit their time exact Burns Saddlery would present the winner with a
$10,000 check. Many contestants were
within thousandths of winning the $10,000; excitement filled the air as times
were compared with the contestants forecast.
The next Xtreme Barrel Race will be
held May 20-22nd.
contestants will have more chances to win huge payouts in cash, saddles, awards,
and another Breeder Cup Vacation as well as a chance to win $10,000 in cash in
the new event Xtreme Forecast.
